BAU Follow-Up

Benefit Auction University (BAU) was a very successful event. It was well attended, and our response from attendees was very positive. With 4 dynamic speakers and many discussion sessions, I believe we also learned things we didn't know before this event. We heard from attendees who held past auctions and what worked for them, what didn't, and how we could make their next auction a huge success. The first part of the morning the speakers were myself and Gretchen from Greater Giving. I shared the definition of a benefit auction and what ways you can plan to have a successful event. Starting with the committee and choosing what revenue enhancers you'd like to include for extra fund raising. Along with this we also took away information on the latest in auction technology and software. Liz from IML Event Technology showed us the different ways their Electronic Bidding could make any silent auction a success. You can learn more about this technology at imleventtechnology.com.  All in all it was a great success we were able to raise about $500 that was given to a local charity that was chosen in a drawing at the end of the event.
